MySafeKids.org will endeavor to provide the latest research and strategies to protect children and adults from criminal behavior, natural and man made disasters. MySafeKids development started before the extensive media coverage of online predators and the serious issues surrounding child abduction and murder. Joseph Sammartano author of Computer Security Training and other educational programs for the Army met with the Director on Education Policy from the Governor's Office of Florida in 2003. Sadly this was just months before the famous abduction and murder of a young girl Carly Brucia in Sarasota Florida. He requested the meeting not to discuss the predator abduction problem but the creation of a new method to protect children. He called it a inter-active web application named appropriately MySafeKids.org. A year into the project a producer from the famous TV series AMW America's Most Wanted was interested in the project. The producer wanted to use the research and create a CD which they did later with another person. The reason was simple he was not creating a tool to make money or profit when protecting childen. It was never in the original design to be a retail item. But rather, as it is today an inter-active collaboration of original research and validated programs by government, private agencies and think tanks to help children learn life saving skills. After several years of research, site design, beta testing and using his own experience in education, training and specific methodolgy MySafeKids.org officially launched for public use in June 2006. ActivitiesMySafeKids.org is a not for profit 501 - C 3 created to provide a web based destination of resources. It does offer every child and parent the knowledge necessary when one is forced to respond to an emergency, criminal act and/or life threatening situation. Children learn quickly from other children and without fear or negative influences especially if it is moderated by a 7 year old girl. We will endeavor to provide the link to resources that will create a positive change in all people who visit the site. MySafeKids.org will assist in the dissemination of information by any organization that does offer life-saving knowledge or learning techniques from their own respective website. Personal History

MySafeKids.org founder is J P Sammartano a formidable person with expertise in creating educational strategies to train individuals in large organizations including the military and law enforcement. In 1994 he produced the first radio parenting call in talk show on the NYC Board of Education channel. It allowed parents to call in and speak live to some of the leading experts in the field of education. The goal was to help parents develop a love of learning in their child and explore any issue the child maybe experiencing in school. MySafeKids was created due to his professional history and childhood experience. He was raised with more than a dozen foster children (and even more) and from this reality his passion and his natural abilities in self defense both armed and unarmed; enabled him to develop training methods and designs for an elite team in the military. His past efforts have also been used to train and/or protect other individuals and the assets of government, corporate and private organizations.
